Christmas 2006
Today, was a good day. My parents and brother eagerly woke me up at 9:45 after a request the night before to not be woken up before 9am. (this makes me realize I'm getting older, no more getting up psycho early to open presents) I had to finish wrapping my mom's scarf that I knit her! Yep, that's right...a few college friends taught me how to knit!! I was a very stressed out knitter at first, but now it has become much more relaxing. Ok, back to the gift opening. It didn't take long for each family member to open all their gifts but it was a fun process. My favorite gift was a digital camera!! My mom had convinced me I wouldn't get one this year, so I was shocked to see it. Mom's are good at keeping secrets and tricking people:) The rest of the day was spent at home, lounging on the couch, napping, watching tv, and eating lots of delicious home-cooked food!!(I really miss home-cooked food) I also was remembering how excited the people of Jesus's time must have been to know that they finally had a savior and how excited they must have been. Just thinking about that kept me really excited!! I'm just so thankful for Jesus and all he has done and continues to do for me. He truly has blessed me in so many ways!! All in all, it was a great day. I don't think I've been home for a whole day since christmas last year, so it was good to stay home and hang with the family all day!! I hope you all had a wonderful christmas.

Krista,
It is great having you back around at Church - you are a person that is really missed. Even though i was never your youth pastor - I feel like your big brother:)
