Remembering...
As I was sitting in my room this afternoon, listening to christmas music and looking at my box of memories from my "trinity lutheran school" years, I got the urge to call my friend molly and see how she was doing. Molly and I have been friends since kindergarten, but we were best friends in 7th and 8th grade. What I love about her, is that I can just call her up after not talking for months and nothing is awkward, it's as if we had just talked yesterday. We talked about how our lives were and remembered our old school days together. We had many fun times together...
* We jumped in her nasty green pond on a cold day(wearing our winter coats, hats, and gloves) and took pictures of ourselves posing on the logs coming out of the pond
* Did contests to see who could stay on the phone for the longest time with other friends and teachers
* Filmed many videos-music videos, documentary's, and news broadcasts
* Talked on the phone every night
* I once saved her from charging horses on her farm
* Accidentally grabbed the electric fence
* Cried when our friend Michelle left
* Painted her basement with what was suppossed to be a beautiful red but turned into puke red-it will never be the same again!
* Took care of her baby chickens
* Went for a million bike rides around the neighborhood(and we always had to walk to the gas station first to fill up the tires)
* Played Kick the Can till wee hours of the night
And these are only a few of the adventures we had together. It was a great time of remembering and laughing so hard I was almost crying. Friends are one of the greatest things in the world. Without them, life would be a lot less interesting and fun. With all that to say, I'm very glad I have people like Molly in my life!
