From Confusion to SURPRISE!!!

Last night my parents threw me a surprise graduation party!! They got me to believe that their homegroup was having a game night and I could invite one person. So, I invited Kate. Little did i know that most of my friends would happen to be "in the neighborhood" and show up to this "game night". And this is how it all went...

I was sitting in the dining room and I saw Whitney, Benji, and Lindsey walking up to my house. I let them in and they said they were at Borders and wanted to stop and say hey. So my mom asked them to stay for a while. Then the Patrick, Chelsea, and Gabriella showed up and said they were out looking at light's and thought they'd stop and say hey. At this point i was confused. Why would all of these people just randomly happen to show up at my house, when I already had something planned, and then why were they all invited to stay?? I sat back down to eat, and next thing I know...Annie and Aaron are at my door. This just pushed me over the edge. I opened the door and said, "What are you doing here?? Did someone call you to come here?? What is going on?!?!?!?" And I ran upstairs to my room. Gabriella was jumping on my bed, and I called Nicole to see if she knew what was up. She didn't answer so I left her a message that went a little something like this, "NICOLE, I AM HAVING THE WEIRDEST NIGHT EVER!!! CALL ME BACK!!!! SOMETHING IS GOING ON OVER HERE!!!" And with that I walked downstairs and there was everyone saying, SURPRISE, HAPPY GRADUATION!!!! And then it clicked and I knew exactly what was going on.

Mom and dad, you got me good once again!! Thank you for the party. It was a lot of fun. And to those of you who couldn't make it, don't worry...that was just a pre-graduation party...my prepared grad. party will be sometime this spring:)

I remember this!!! You were trying so hard to contain any sort of rudeness as you processed the confusion because we just sauntered in...ha! We could see right through what you were thinking and enjoyed every gigglingly-painful second of it :)
