And Here I am

Sitting on my bed for the last time for a long time. I'm just remembering how awesome my time in the quad cities has been. I've loved being involved in so many ways. I'll miss seein the people that I love, but most of them will still be here when I return. To those of you still in the quad cities please pray for me as I take this next step in my life. I know I am doing what Jesus wants for my life, so I am for sure comforted by that. That doesn't mean it won't be difficult at times, though. Well, I should probably get to bed. Thanks for everything you all have done for me!

By the way, my new laptop is pretty cool!!!!!

I...

I've never enjoyed staying alone in a house, until this week.

I've been walking through a valley, and Jesus is showing me the way out on the other side

I often say random thoughts out of the blue(those who were over last night know this)

I enjoy hanging out with my friends

I love being so involved in my church

I love to play guitar, piano, drums, and sing

The CD I listen to the most currently, is the one Andrew made for me

I think Mac computers are really cool!

I'm into the movie Rocketman right now, it's an old one, but I think it's hilarious!

I'm growing my nails out again

I am a people person

I need to finish organizing and cleaning my room

AmeliO...NO, AmeliA!!!

Meet Amelia my new exotic pet!! What is she?? She's a sugar glider...basically she glides like a flying squirrell, is small like a hamster, and soft like a chinchilla.

Aaron and Annie gave her to me since they are moving out of the quad cities.

Last night was her first night sleeping at my house. Originally I planned to keep her in my room, but after a noisy night last night, she'll be staying in the guest room. But this will be no ordinary guest room. I will be sugar proofing it. Then I will hang ropes from the ceiling and at night I will let her glide around from rope to rope. It should be pretty entertaining and hilarious. If you think I'm a little crazy about her, you should see some of the things other sugar glider owners do out of their love for their pets.
For example...some people find it necessary to permanently engrave a picture of their sugar glider on their arm in the form of a tattoo. Others carry them around in their pockets all day.

Overall, I've loved having Amelia. In one day I've only had one set back. She kinda got loose in my room...no, she was DEFINATELY loose in my room. I was trying to pet her and so I took her out and had her on my bed and next thing I new she jumped out of her pouch and starting running around my room! And she is FAST!!! I called my brother in. Together we chased her around the room for a good 20-25 minutes. (can you picture this situation?) Finally, I was able to throw a blanket on top of her and then set her down in her cage still inside the blaket. Once I opened the blanket up she flung onto the sides of the cage and then stopped briefly for a drink of water. It was an experience...and I'm sure there will be many more in the future.

ONE MONTH?!?

Wow, it's been almost a month since I've blogged. I can't even remember all that has been happening, but I'm gonna try to recap on some events.

1- My 2 summer classes are officially done on Tuesday!! They have relatively gone by fast, but it will be nice to have a break for a few weeks before I go back to school.
2-Desperation was amazing as usual. I really enjoyed the music. I learned a lot from the speakers. I enjoyed our hotel. I enjoyed the people I was with. It was just a great time.
3-I've taken many roadtrip...most of them ending by me leaving at 4:30 in the morning to get back for a class that morning.

Today, has been a productive yet lazy day. I'm still in my pj's...but I got up at ten and cleaned the house. Then my dad brought home lunch from Jimmy Johns (it was ok). I read, studied and memporized Acts 1 for a while. Practice Maple Leaf Rag. And now I'm on the comupter. I'll be playing in church tonight so I need to go get ready at some point. Until then, I'm going to enjoy being in my house with nothing important on my mind.
