Weekend Services

I got to play acoustic this weekend in church, thanks to Scott!! Saturday night went great! The first half of the 9:00 service went wonderfully as well. For the last two songs at the end, Nate was a little late and came onto the platform after the "Who You Are" had already begun. My mind was racing for the few moments he wasn't there. Would I have to put his electric on and figure out the solo really fast and play it for him? What if he came up right before the solo started? Could we just skip the solo? Thankfully I was able to stick to the acoustic and didn't have to pull out any of my electric guitar skills.

10:45 service comes around, and I happened to be on the other end of the building with some friends. I looked at the tv screens and noticed the pre-service video was up. I sprinted to the main sanctuary but I was too late. As I ran in the drummer gave the stick count and the song began without me. I rushed on to stage, out of breath, and played the rest of the songs. I happened to look down and noticed scott cracking up at me and giving me the look in the front row. (Nate was leading)

In between services, I took my mom's car to be washed. Today, they were being sooooo slow. It was already 11:35 and I knew I would have to play in a matter of minutes. The second my car came rolling out of the car wash, I asked if I could take it. I had to explain to the guy that I was playing in church in a few minutes and I really had to get going. He let me take it, but the inside of my mom's car didn't get wiped out unfortunately. Sorry mom! I made it in time to play. The very last song, I started with the acoustic. Only this time, the other acoustic player just started playing. Luckily, I was able to play over him with the correct strumming and he soon changed his strumming to the correct one.

Overall, it was great playing with the worship team. I miss it. I miss the people. I miss all the random and funny moments. Thank goodness Jesus can come with me to Bethel and be on those worship teams there!!! I know that I don't have to miss Jesus.

Randomness...

is the name of my blog. I remember sitting at jamie's computer a long time ago, and deciding that "randomness" would be the perfect name of my blog. So let me update you on some random happenings of my life.

My parents bought me a pair of glasses this Christmas. I really like them!

My grandparents took all the relatives on a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas. It was such a fun trip and it was great to see how happy my grandparents are after 50 years of marriage!

I am in a random time of college right now called j-term. I'm only taking one class. Staying up late playing games and hanging with friends. Sleeping in late. Tomorrow I have my 4th test for this class and thursday I have my final. Then I get to be home for almost a week!!!

Overall, College is stretching me. I'm learning so many academic things as well as just general life stuff. Sometimes the stretching feels okay, but other times it really hurts. So if you could do anything at all it would be to just say a prayer for me if you think of me during your day.

Jesus has truly blessed me here, and I'm so greatful!
